E Bay charity auction raises over £250,000
Pop group Coldplay have raised £251,482 for charity Kids Company in an eBay auction.
A range of Coldplay memorabilia went under the hammer in the band's End Of Decade Clearout Sale, which ended on December 31.
Among the catalogue was Jonny Buckland's Viva Thinline '72 Tele guitar, which fetched £15,000, and an outfit worn by Chris Martin in the band's 'Strawberry Swing' video.
In a post on coldplay.com, the group thanked fans for getting involved in the auction.
