Beware when throwing out your old computer

This is worth bearing in mind when you replace your home or office computers, destroying parts of your old computer could save yourself from Cyber criminals

Criminals realise that files that you thought were deleted are hidden and can be retrieved. Bank details credit card numbers, ebay information, CVs and e-mails can be retrieved.

People are buying cheap second-hand PCs, ripping out the hard drives and selling them to criminals around the world.

The solution is to remove your hard drive and smash it up, before disposing of it at an authorised tipping site.
